The beliefs we carry can shape the way we see people long before we truly know them. In Eddie’s story, the Mississippi River becomes the symbol of healing, trust, transformation, and letting go of the fears and prejudices created within our minds.
During a journey along the Mississippi River, Eddie falls overboard and wakes up badly injured in the care of Chikasha, a Native American man living alone near the river. At first, fear and mistrust separate them, shaped by the stories and assumptions each carries from the past. As Chikasha helps Eddie recover, their time together slowly replaces suspicion with understanding, friendship, and mutual trust.
This is a story about trust, prejudice, friendship, healing, compassion, and personal transformation. As an audio experience, it becomes a gentle reflection on questioning our assumptions, opening ourselves to understanding, finding connection beyond differences, releasing fear, and allowing old thoughts to wash away like water flowing through a river.
